Three lessons from the Genesis

In this post, I will go through some of the verses of the Genesis in the Bible and share with you few of my reflections.

The Fall

3 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,

3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.

5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all livestock
and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring[a] and hers;
he will crush[b] your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

16 To the woman he said,

“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”

17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’

“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”

Our belief dictates our behaviours

Did God really say this? indeed.
Despite what we have been told since childhood, people do have an intense natural need of belief and spirituality; and no this is not a weakness, nor a disease. As The Guardian states, researches have proved that spirituality is highly connected with happiness. But also, the NLP showed us that our belief system defines our identity and hence influences our behaviours. These mechanisms also derive the notion of natural “Optimitism bias”, published in the Time. Therefore, it is safe to assert that faith instantly influences our behaviors – for better or worse.

In this context, the Bible starts strong, and illustrates metaphorically the original human weakness. The snake is the voice that awakes the doubt in the absolute truth. The sin originates from the lack of strength to resist our natural tendency to hedonism. Faith compounds identity, and identity directs our behaviours. Nihilism is therefore the gate to sin. Cultural Marxism is nihilism, so don’t be astonished by what you see around you.

When the common narrative tends to make us believe that Jesus never existed (which is a documented lie), the instant conclusion – for most – is that all religions are worthless, and that there is no God. As Nietzsche said in 1883: “God is dead”. In such a context, many will find an escape-spirituality in a hypocrite sympathy for atheism, paganism and/or Buddhism; i.e. a superficial attachment to a human morality that camouflages nihilism, ego-centrism or hedonism. To name them briefly, I would mention the “alt-right pagan”, the “modern attention whore” and the “environmentalist”. Nonetheless, the conclusion remains the same. The failure to believe in our own God reflects the work of Cultural Marxism, destroying the roots of our identity, which translates directly in our failure of evaluating good and evil, and in the constant questioning of the non-questionable (e.g. genders, immigration, money etc.).

There are consequences for our actions, even if we think there aren’t

Adam and Eve do eat the fruit; they listen to the snake who tells them not to worry. They do so because 1) they doubt the God’s command, 2) they do not believe in the consequences of their actions, and finally 3) because they want it.

In a post-modernist era, this is exactly is the definition of “carpe diem” and “hedonist” philosophies: “don’t worry, everything will be alright. Your only worry should be not to have enjoyed even more.”. And in fact, Christianity 2.0 emphasizes these behaviors, hypocritically claiming the absence of punishment thanks to the sacrifice of Jesus. In short, there is no need for redemption. And who cares? What is the difference between a world where there is no God (Atheism), and a world where God forgives everything (Christianity 2.0)?

But the Genesis is clear. It highlights the essentiality of these elements: 1) punishment exists, 2) redemption is not always granted. In short, justice before all (another pillar of Christianity)

What you do in your life will influence your future, and eventually destroy you in some cases. This being said, injustice also exists, and it is the duty of every man to seek justice.

It is easier to influence women than men

This sentence might already be too much in a feminised world like ours. Never criticise women, that is oppression – I suppose this is what I should understand in the Marxist terms “political correctness”. But to those hypocrites minds, could you please explain me then why most advertisements are directed towards women? Why fashion is something that impacts more women than men?
Well, in fact, the truth is that women are more sensitive to their urges than men. Where the woman owns the territory of beauty and emotionalism, the man owns the physical and the intellectual/emotional strength.

The Bible in fact is very clear here, and shows that to manipulate the people, to control the families, you shall first target women for they have a weaker mind and will use her charm to perpetrate your plots. Would anyone even argue today against the correlation between feminism, divorce, women suicide, mental illness and decreased birth rate?

In a democracy, control the women, and you will control the State. Control the women, and you will control the men, for they will not fear to lose their love, but also their children and everything they fought for.
